Dan Winston (Ash) Dan acknowledges the irony of writing a BIO (“life”) for a show that’s all about killing dead things before they kill us. After nearly four years of blathering on to anyone who would listen about how much he wanted to bring Evil Dead The Musical to Meadville, he’s beyond thrilled to be a part of a production that is doing just that. He has loved working under the leadership of the wonderfully talented, dedicated, good-humored, and collaborative directors and alongside the cast and musicians who also fit all of those adjectives. He has especially enjoyed working with his beautiful partner Renna in her first-ever show. Dan was last seen as Cliff in Cabaret and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show and will soon be seen slaying deadites left and right for the amusement of the blood-splattered audience. Stay groovy, my friends.
Alicia Greathouse (Cheryl) Alicia Is thrilled to be bringing Cheryl to life…and death…and life…and death again! “The joy of doing this type of show, for me, stems from how much I love the original movies. I think that people who are fans of the movies, horror, musicals or just theater in general will find something to love about this show. I am having a bloody good time and I hope that you do too!”
Mitchell King (Scott) Mitchell has been acting in local community theatre for 20 years. You may have recently seen him in Rent at the Academy Theatre, or in Misery at Meadville Community Theatre. He has also directed several shows, the most recent being Ordinary Days at MCT. He hopes you have a bloody good time at Evil Dead the Musical!
Renna Wrubleshy (Linda) Renna is excited to perform in her first show ever. Previously, her theatre experience extended only to selling tickets at The Academy Theatre box office and cheering her partner, Dan, on in all of his shows. When the opportunity arose to have her head chopped off with a gush of fake blood, she simply could not resist. Renna is grateful she defied all of her inner reservations to get on the stage; she has had the best time with this cast and crew putting this show together. She wants to give a special thanks to Dan for encouraging her every step-touch of the way, Geoff and Ahmaya for being such gracious directors, and Darrel for supporting her own theatrical endeavors
Meadow Campbell (Shelly) Meadow is excited to be apart of MCT’s production of Evil Dead. You may have seen her mixing lattes behind the counter at French Creek Coffee and Tea or in different musicals around the Meadville Area. She is very excited for you to see that it’s not always a good idea to go on a camping trip with your hookup. Enjoy the show, get your freak on, and do the necronomicon.
Maribeth McCarthy (Annie) Maribeth is DEAD excited to be a part of this show! She’s loved Evil Dead the Musical since it came into her life over 15 years ago. She’s been running around like a 5-year-old on a caffeine high and sugar rush the past year (… And all the previous ones, most would argue), having the awesome opportunity to work on such shows as Rocky Horror, Heathers and ILYYPNC. She was also just recently a part of the documentary UNSTUFFED: A BUILD-A-BEAR STORY (No… Really) with her twin sister Ellie, and Colby. She’s hella glad she has her awesome friends in the show (here’s to the early rehearsal crew!), and is so grateful to Geoff and Bowie for working with her insane schedule so she could be a part of this bloody madness. She would like to dedicate this performance to the one person she knows loves Evil Dead more than she does: Red. All these years, and I still miss you.
…Good Old Reliable Snake
Glen Tuttle (Jake)
Adam Leute (Eddie)
Dave Neal (Professor) Dave is pleased to be part of The Evil Dead cast, as resurrecting Kandarian demons and possessed moose wrangling are two of his biggest passions.
Melissa Bivens (S Mart Manager) Melissa is very excited to be rejoining theater after 14 years. She is very excited to insight the audience as a headless corpse, stabbing people behind the scenes, and making sure that Ash is sick of her shit as the manager of Smart.
Zara McClymonds (Deadite)
Lauren Hale (Deadite) This will be Lauren’s second production with MCT. She’s also been seen as Kit Kat girl Texas in the academy theatre’s production of Cabaret. She has also played Lady of the Lake in Spamalot at Oil City Highschool. She’s so happy to be back on stage with an amazing cast! She hopes you enjoy the show and remember to wear your poncho.
