Madison Morgan (Annelise) Maddie’s thrilled to have the opportunity to portray Annelise in her first show at MCT and is proud to work amongst such a talented cast and crew! Some of the past productions that she has found to be most memorable include “Cabaret” (Sally Bowles), “Jesus Christ Superstar” (Ensemble), “The Rocky Horror Show” (Columbia), and “Anastasia” (Anya). Maddie would like to thank Beth and Josh for allowing her a safe space to collaborate and grow.
Autumn Vogel (Michelle) Autumn is delighted to be returning to MCT for Chaos. Autumn has truly enjoyed getting the chance to work with this group of co-creators to bring to life a show that’s never been done before! Most recently, Autumn has been part of the casts of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Titania), “Light in Odd Spaces” (Ensemble), and “Rocky Horror Picture Show” (Janet). By day, Autumn works remotely to help people in Meadville and beyond to start or grow cooperatively owned businesses. By other times of day, she sits on Meadville City Council, serves as President of the Northwest PA Investment Co-op, and tends to her dog, cat, and three chickens.
Meadow Campbell (Sandy) Meadow is excited to be playing Sandy in Chaos at the Wedding! You may have seen her behind the counter of French Creek Coffee and Tea co. or helping The Academy and Meadville Community Theater with productions. Meadow wants to thank her parents for coming to see anything and everything she’s in! She also wants to thank all of her friends and her little sister Lennon for supporting her in everything she does.
Lee Scandinaro (Artie) Lee is honored to be involved in another production here at Meadville Community Theatre. His latest shows in Meadville include “The Rocky Horror Show” (Brad), “Light in Odd Spaces” (Ensemble), and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Oberon). When not at one of the awesome theatres in town, Lee teaches middle school in downtown Erie, PA and plants trees around town.
Daniel McGaffin (Colin) Daniel is excited to join his fellow cast members in an original production and his first MCT show! A recent import from Canada, Daniel has been performing in theatre for the past 15 years in a variety of roles and genres that vary from classical productions to modern musicals. Select roles include Theseus/Titania in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, Leo Bloom in “The Producers”, and Charlie Brown in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Previously seen in the Academy Theatre’s productions of “Fiddler on the Roof,” and “Anastasia” as Dimitry, Daniel will be seen in the Academy’s upcoming production of “Jersey Boys.” Daniel would like to thank the community for their welcoming hospitality, and Melody for her endless love and encouragement.
Dan Winston (Jon) Dan is thrilled to be a part of this production, having been excited for it ever since he first heard of it a year ago! A long-time collaborator with Josh and Beth, he most recently worked with them in “An Evening of Crankies,” “Vita Fabulas,” and “Light in Odd Spaces.” He also enjoys performing in plays written by people he doesn’t know personally, writing and playing music, making films, and teaching at The Learning Center K-8 School.
Sylvia Cagle (Springtime) Sylvia finally feels like it’s appropriate to say that she is no longer a newcomer to theater in Meadville, having performed, directed, and choreographed here for more than ten years. The performing arts have been a part of her life since the age of four and she is grateful for the continuing opportunities she receives to participate in this world.
Jason Sakal (Cosmos) Jason was recently bitten by the theatre bug again after a break during July’s production of “Rent” and quickly followed that as Igor in “Young Frankenstein,” both at the Academy Theatre. You may have seen him in the past as the Baker in “Into the Woods” or Nikki and Trekkie in “Avenue Q.” Happy to be back at MCT after starring as Brandon in “Rope,” John Hinckley Jr. in “Assassins,” and in many other shows here over the years. When he’s not acting, you can usually find him taking photos or participating in community events around town.
P. Todd Fox (Reverend Shill) P. Todd Fox is a veteran actor of MCT, The Academy Theatre, and Allegheny College. You may have seen her in “Wit,” “Masterclass,” “The Dining Room,” “Dancing at Lughnasa,” “Blythe Spirit,” “The Laramie Project,” “Our Town,” “Circle Mirror Transformation,” “Agnes of God,” “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolff,” and many others, most recently in “Morbidity” (also directed by Beth Watkins). P. Todd is happy to be on stage with this amazing cast, crew, and of course Beth! When not involved in theatre, she tends her garden and walks her dog, Pie.
Elizabeth DeMarco (Heather) Elizabeth DeMarco is thrilled join the cast of MCT’s original show Chaos at the Wedding. She previously had experience in The Academy Theater’s production of “Anastasia” as well as being in “Frozen Jr.” Things she enjoys doing includes playing guitar, going on hikes and working part time at Big Lots. Elizabeth is grateful for the experience she was given at the MCT.
Ahmaya Andrews (Charlie) Ahmaya is delighted to be playing Charlie, the groom’s BFF and best person for the wedding. You may recognize them from previous roles such as Robin Starveling in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” one of the co-creators/actors in MCT’s original production “Light In Odd Spaces,” or as the assistant director/stage manager/professional fake blood-maker/Ash’s disembodied hand in “Evil Dead: The Musical”. When not acting, they spend even more time at Oddfellows Hall studying English at Allegheny College and they enjoy writing, playing piano, and planting flowers at Goodell Gardens.
Vidal Mangal (Hayden) Vidal is honored to be the caterer at today’s wedding. They are an artist of many mediums, including dance, painting, and poetry. They were last seen in “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Academy Theater and in the MCT’s “Amare: A Cabaret Night.” Please do them the actual favor of waiting, unlike the rest of the cast, until the end of the ceremony to partake of their luscious canapes and scrumptious petit fours.
Ron Mumme (Bard 1/mandolin) During the day Ron Mumme is an ornithologist, recently retired from 33 years of teaching and research at Allegheny College. He started playing the mandolin casually in 1979, more seriously in 2007, and now plays and sings with the bands Salmon Frank and Credit/No Credit. Other than a non-speaking part in his 6th grade production of “HMS Pinafore” he has no previous theater experience. In fact, he was formerly fond of telling people that he truly disliked musical theater because in his view it combined the worst aspects of both music and theater. Nonetheless, here he is.
Jennifer Hellwarth (Bard 2/guitar) Jennifer is a rock and roll guitarist and has performed with the Allegheny College faculty rock band “Credit/No Credit” for the past 20 years. Most recently she blew the roof of Allegheny’s Playshop Theatre as lead guitarist for “Head Over Heels.” This is her first time on the MCT stage, though last year she completed a fabulously successful turn as the stage manager for “Light in Odd Spaces.” Despite being a senior faculty member in the English Department at Allegheny for many years, she does not write (or read) her own bios and relies on ghost writers who scrupulously, with no exaggeration, represent her immensely impressive qualifications.
Joshua Searle-White (Bard 3/bass, Musical Director, Playwright) Josh is grateful to be (yet again) the beneficiary of the MCT’s strong support for local actors, musicians, directors, and playwrights. He has appeared on the MCT stage in “Light in Odd Spaces,” in his one-man show “The Weekend Workshop,” in the storytelling show “Vita Fabulas,” and as Billy Flynn in “Chicago.” He wrote “It’s Not All About Sex (Or Is It?),” which premiered at the MCT in 2022, and he currently serves at the President of the MCT board. He’d like to offer special gratitude to the “Chaos at the Wedding” cast and crew of this show, who came out to audition for and work on a show that they knew nothing about. Their generosity of spirit is inspiring!
