Meet the Cast:
Fool for Love

The Fool for Love cast is ready to take the stage! Read more for a little it of background on our actors:

Darrel Whitney (Eddie) is thrilled to be the back on the MCT stage! Darrel hails from Erie, where he attended McDowell High School. He studied Music and History at Edinboro University, where he graduated with both degrees in 2001. After college, he was cast as Caiaphas in The Academy Theatre’s summer production of Jesus Christ Superstar. That fall, he became a resident of Meadville, where he performed in various plays and musicals including Academy productions of Children of Eden, Evita and Sweeney Todd, and in MCT’s Proof, Sweet Charity and What the Bellhop Saw. In 2004, he relocated to New York City where in 2006 he was cast as Caiaphas in the four year long North American Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar starring Ted Neeley. He was last seen locally in Academy productions of Sweeny Todd (2018) Holiday Inn (2021) and Avenue Q (Feb. 2022). Darrel is the administrator of The Academy Theatre and is excited to give back to the community that inspired him to live his dream! He would like to thank MCT and his friends and family; especially Ted, Lauren, “Big” Darrel, Denise, Dusty and his nephew Jesse (aka: Young Lord Whitney) for their love and support.

Bridget Pendolino (May) has not been on stage at MCT since she played Myrtle in The Great Gatsby. She is excited to play May in Fool For Love. It is a privilege to part of this play with its talented cast. She could not imagine a better group of actors. She would like to thank Ted for his direction and talent in this production. She would also like to thank her husband Mike for making her life as far from May as can be.

Dan Winston (Martin) is so excited to help bring one of his favorite playwrights to the Meadville stage.  He was recently seen in MCT’s productions of Private Lives, Rope, and Love Letters, as well as the Academy Theatre’s production of Holiday Inn, wherein he reconnected with Darrell and Ted after many years apart.  He’s now honored to share the stage with them once more, along with long-time acting companions Bridget and Joe.  Dan would like to thank his lovely partner, Renna, for being so supportive of his theatrical endeavors.
